Spector Gadon Rosen Vinci
Formcraft partnered with law firm Spector Gadon Rosen Vinci (SGRV) to reimagine their Philadelphia office, transforming a traditional legal workspace into a modern environment that reflects the firm’s bold brand identity. The project balanced sophistication with striking design elements, creating a refined, professional atmosphere for both clients and employees.

Project Goals
SGRV set out to consolidate its two-floor suite into a single, efficient workplace. The goal was to support focused legal work alongside in-person collaboration, while projecting the bold, creative identity of the firm. Increasing gathering space was critical for strengthening culture and making the office a destination. The project also prioritized elevating the client arrival sequence with premium finishes and confident architectural gestures that embody professionalism and success. Together, these objectives framed a workplace that advances productivity, brand presence and the employee and visitor experience.
Design Strategy
The renovation strategy leveraged residual value in the existing suite to maximize the budget where impact matters most. Respecting key architectural elements, the team introduced a high contrast material palette that projects presence and precision. Perimeter offices support partners and attorneys, while contiguous open neighborhoods bring teams closer and encourage exchange. A centrally located entry and reception were positioned to capture Center City views, strengthening connection for visitors and staff. This approach concentrates investment at the moments that define identity and experience, while improving flow and adjacency across the floor.

Workplace Planning
Consolidation to a single, full floor enabled a clearer organization of private and shared settings. Perimeter offices support confidentiality and heads-down work. Inside that ring, open neighborhoods create continuous zones for paralegals and staff, improving proximity, speed, and communication. Additional gathering areas were distributed to promote informal interaction and team rituals, reinforcing culture without interrupting focus. The plan emphasizes direct paths, intuitive wayfinding, and well-placed meeting rooms so attorneys move efficiently between client work, collaboration, and preparation.
Arrival & Client Experience
Arrival is framed by a central reception with direct views over Center City. A geometric reception desk in black textured stone features a linear white inset that echoes SGRV’s mark, with a warm walnut worksurface and desk front set over wood-look flooring. Illuminated signage reinforces identity. Client-facing conference rooms carry upgraded, textural carpeting with a larger scale abstract repeat to signal a premium setting. The sequence communicates confidence from elevator to meeting room and sets expectations for service and performance.

Brand Expression
SGRV’s bold personality is present throughout the finish palette. Sculptural lounge seating in cherry red anchors reception over a high contrast area rug. Dark, tailored wallcovering at the elevator lobby pairs with white wood trim, base, molding, and casings for a disciplined, gallery-like threshold. In private offices and open areas, a dark general carpet meets newly painted white walls and crisp linear lighting, producing a refined contrast that reads as deliberate and modern.

Design Finish & Palette
Materiality balances richness and restraint. The reception desk’s black textured stone and white acrylic detail establish a clear graphic language, while walnut introduces warmth. Hardware in dark bronze and black unifies new millwork and glass doors and respects existing brass in select private and support spaces. In the hub and café, a bold red glossy backsplash plays against white uppers, dark base cabinets, and a black stone countertop. White and black furniture sits on wood-look flooring, with a tailored geometric banquette back that mixes shades of red with lighter warm tones. The composition ties back to legacy elements while advancing the firm’s contemporary voice.
